Collis offers a wide variety of tap holders and tap adapters. Our Product is interchangeable to the Bilz style and TM-Smith^TM style of holders and adapters. Collis has straight shank, automotive shank and the steep and morse taper shank holders as standard items. Collis offers synchronous, rigid style, tension and compression and radial floating style tap mechanisms in most sizes.

Tap and tap size may be changed in seconds.

Quick-change – push back on the holder sleeve, and the adapter with tool is removable. Press on the end of the adapter nose and the tool is removable – all in a few seconds.

SYNCHRONOUS: Modern machine tools have the capability of synchronizing the spindle rotation and spindle feed. This has made it possible to eliminate the spring compression on and tension stroke utilized in traditional tapping heads. The advantage that this brings to threading is the speed by which the cycle can operate.

Manufactured for rugged use. Collis Quick-Change Floating Holders when combined with Collis Quick-Change Tap Adapters greatly reduce tool change-over time. Within seconds your roll can be changed! By sliding the sleeve backward on the Floating Holder, the adapter and tap can be removed and a new one inserted. Release the sleeve and the adapter is locked into place and you’re ready to go!
